High Density Hand Held Laser Scanner

Description

The SCANTEAM 5700HD is a high performance laser scanner that can read bar code symbologies at significantly higher densities than the 5700. The ST5700HD gives the optimum mix of price and durability in an ergonomic self contained unit. The ST5700HD is also available in non-decoded output version for connection to an discrete decoder.

The integrated Instant Interface Module provides high performance decoding and support for virtually all host interfaces.(Keyboard wedges, serial RS-232, wand emulation, and proprietary direct connect to POS devices, such as NCR OCIA, IBM 5B/9B/17, and IBM/Fujitsu OCR.)
Once configured the units may be cloned one to another allowing easy roll-out and field replacement.

Application

The flexibility and performance of the ST5700/HD series scanners make them applicable to a range of applications from retail point of sale to back room, inventory/asset tracking, factory data collection, and office automation.

The Instant Interface Module also supports the dual interface feature. In dual interface mode, the scanner automatically configures itself to specific host parameters based on the cable attached to the scanner. The dual interface feature allows one scanner to serve multiple applications (e.g., workstation based factory data collection and Portable Data Collection), greatly increasing the cost effectiveness of the product.

Common Product Architecture

Interface hardware used in the ST5700/A is compatible with the Welch Allyn ST3400 CCD product and ST5400 laser products. Utilises common interface cable set with the Welch Allyn ST3400 series CCD and ST5400 laser scanners.

Easy to hold, aim and trigger. Sits securely on counter top without a holder.

Auto Trigger Option
