Description

The OCR-capable IMAGETEAM 4400 Image Reader is a hand held input device that reads and decodes linear and two dimensional (2D) bar code symbologies, as well as machine readable fonts used in optical character recognition (OCR). By combining the advanced imaging capability of the IT4400 with Caere® Corporation's leading edge OCR decoding software, the OCR-capable IT4400 provides unprecedented non-contact OCR scanning for applications in the retail, banking/finance, transportation/distribution, postal/courier, law enforcement, agriculture and utility industries.

The IT4400OCR is available in two models with a choice of interfaces. The IT4400 OCR/LR, designed for low and medium density codes, is perfect for general linear or 2D applications, and reads 6 to 60 point OCR typeface. The IT4400 OCR/HD reads OCR type of 6 to 24 points, and is ideally suited to manufacturing, clinical, and small parts marking applications.

Both models read all major linear, stacked linear, and matrix bar codes, as well as a single line of OCR-A, OCR-B, or MICR E-13B type. Custom fonts can also be read.
